All the Way from Australia!!

Thank you so much Leonie - Noni for the great Blogaversary exchange gifts!  I love everything so much and already added the scissor fobs to my scissors and to the new cute scissors you sent me as well!  They are both so very cute and the little fairy is very dainty that you made.   Your creation of the box with the your excellent stitching of the sheep is just gorgeous and will be a keepsake forever.  I haven't decided what to use it for, but it will definitley be stitching items!!!  :)  There are so many!!  I was thinking possibly a box to hold threads and such for a project as I work on it, instead of a zip loc baggie!!  Will be much more fun and quite professional!! lol

I will for sure be using the threads and ribbon you sent as they are always part of my stitching in finishing an item.  I have put the Australia pin on my summer cap and already people have noticed it and wanted to touch it since it came from so far away!  lol  And I let them too!!  It made them smile as well as me.  I haven't started the Oregano kit yet, but I have it in my stitching to do soon.

Thank you so much Noni for your great package and all your time in making me such a special box!!  I hope to be able to exchange to you one day so that I may return some wonderful smiles to you too!!  :)   Anne

SAL # 4 Puppy Love - (Almost!) Complete

We're nearing the end of July so I thought I'd check in and show everyone how my Puppy Love SAL is progressing. I'm pleased to say that I've finished stitching all the puppies I'm going to use in my design:

Next step, I need to stretch the linen and mount it for framing. I found a cute 4 X 10 inch frame on sale over a year ago, and it's been waiting for my Puppy Love every since. So, don't count me as "finished" yet. I still want to get the piece in it's frame and post one more photo of the fully completed project - hopefully sometime in the next couple months!

From Netherlands to Brazil!

Hi girls!

I am very happy to participate in another exchange with you! And even happier because it seems that this time it is going to work very well! It'almost 100% Nia! ;-)

I received a lovelly package from Olli!

It was sweet and generous! I loved every little gift, especially the bag with a perfect cross stitch embroidery and the wool, besides candies, of course! ;-) And I already have plans for the wool!

I participate in a project called "Bonequeiras Sem Fronteiras" inspired by Dolly Donations. We sew dolls especially for orphaned children and old ladies throughout Brazil. We try to send them a little bit of love and confort. So this lovelly wool will turn on nice hair for some dolls, and maybe some gloves to warm hands of old ladies! Visit our blog! http://bonequeirasemfronteiras.blogspot.com.br/

Thank you very, very much Olli!

Blogaversary Exchange - From Malaysia to Australia

Hi there!

Gosh, haven't we had a wonderful exchange this time round.  We have seen some absolutely gorgeous packages going around the world and arriving at their destinations in record time :o)

And now I am here to show you what I received last week from Fara in Malaysia.

Isn't this the cutest Hedgehog?  I love the ballerina hedgehog design and Fara has done a lovely job of turning this little cutie into a pretty pink bag. Perfect for storing ribbons or threads in and for showing off in the craft room! :o)

Also in the pretty pink box Fara sent some lovely purple butterflies, cute animals pegs, metallic tape, a pretty pink tin and a chocolate notepad, as well as some pink pot pourri and a lovely souvenir from Malaysia. Now I just have to go there one day and see the tallest towers for myself!

Thank you Fara for a lovely package that you sent me for this exchange.  I absolutely love it all.

And a big thank you to Nia for organising this great exchange, and thank you to everyone for making it a great success...  Hopefully the last of the packages will arrive at their destinations soon and we will have 100% sent and received!!

Til next time, happy stitching

A Wonderful Gift from Anne in Canada!

Hello Stitching Friends!
I am sorry it took me longer to post this (I was much quicker with my email "Thank You" to Anne, I promise!) but I had a bit of trouble trying to figure out how to post to the blog here and include pictures. Nia was sweet enough to help me and I feel so silly for totally missing the boat on this one! Thank you Nia! I got it now! LOL.  Anne's gift arrived from Canada and there was a beautiful soft red bag with a stitchery of Archie - Oh how I love bears as I am sure you can tell by the name of my little design company - lol. Lots of other little goodies too including some candies (I love butterscotch too!), Cookie Cutters, Pencils, a sharpener AND a beautiful beaded scissor fob with an antique bead at the end.

So pretty and it was such a wonderful gift to receive for my very first exchange!  I really enjoyed this one so I am so looking forward to the next! I am already planning what my next partner will receive...so....I wonder who it will be?? ☺  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and that you find some time to relax and stitch!  Valma, you will need to send me an email with pictures when you finish some of your projects!   Here are a couple of photos of Anne's lovely gift to me.
Hugs to all my new friends!
Deb ♥♥  ☺

Blogversary Exchange from Cucki - Thank You!

I was so happy to open the mailbox last Friday and see that my Blogversary Exchange parcel had arrived from Cucki in South Africa. I already thanked Cucki via email, but now that I've had some time to take a few pictures I also wanted to post and show everyone the adorable stitching she did for me, and the lovely goodies she included:

I adore ladybugs and I had never seen this design before, so it was a wonderful surprise.

Also included in the package were a note from Cucki, some butterfly stickers, a pin cushion, embroidery needles (always good to have!), a pencil, some sparkly ribbon (wish I could capture its sparkle with the camera!), some rhino buttons (to remind me of South Africa) and cloth coasters. Later I'm going to see if I can cross stitch on the coasters, possibly Margaret Sherry's Coffee Cats.

Thank you so much to Cucki, who put together this wonderful package and took the time to stitch for me. Also, thanks again to Nia for organizing these exchanges for us.

Hope everyone else is enjoying this Blogversary Exchange too, and fingers crossed that my own parcel finds its way to Simone in Brazil very soon!

Hello ladies! It's been a while since i posted here, but life get's on our way and we can't do nothing about it, right?
I want to show you the winter cat, from SAL#3, that i finished in February!!

Have a great weekend girls:)

From Judith to Angele

I had fun opening the parcel Judith made for me!

She made a pretty cushion for me (i love little cushions) and guess who was on it?
It was me...haha...although she was blond instead of brown hair...i really liked the idea she had when she stitched this for me.
One of my daughters said....hey mum that is you on the cushion :-)

Thank you so very much for this beautiful parcel Judith....really love the cushion you made!!
Also loving the little book with patterns and the fabric!
Big  big hugs to you!!
